Two friends, two single beds, two nights. Nobody had to share a mattress. The extra thirty dollars was listed clearly. We cooked nothing and still slept well before an early SJO departure.
I booked Suite 2 alone and loved having a spare bed for bags. Air conditioning ran quietly. The lodge patio was a nice place to wait for a shuttle. Hosts were quick on WhatsApp.
Twin beds are exactly what we wanted after a week of sharing hotel queens. The hallway bathroom needed a wait one morning. Otherwise a clean, honest Alajuela stop with fair pricing for two backpackers.
We landed from Liberia, overnighted here, and flew out of SJO the next morning. Separate beds saved the friendship. Parking was straightforward. I recommend Suite 2 specifically for that two-bed layout.
Solo traveler, two-night minimum, no complaints. I used one bed and piled gear on the other. Television and cold air made the late arrival easy. Cheaper than the chain hotels by the airport road.
Good twin room if you coordinate the shared bath. One mattress felt a little thin, but we slept through until the alarm. Extra guest fee showed on the quote before we paid, which we appreciated.
